Multimodal Presentations for DS1
This is a reflection of the DS1 group presentations exploring a variety of qualitative research methodologies. Packed into a short four hours, we gained a wealth of knowledge and information. Now, in reflection, I’d like to have access to all the group presentations since there were great references and resources posted within these ‘multimodal’ presentations. All were prepared using some form of slide show format, expect the final session where it was created using We Video. These last two presenters did not speak to the class since they had pre-recorded their presentation using images and voice-over. Many of the presentations included some form of interaction with the group, but, since these were twenty minute time limited, it was a fast paced production.
Our group presented Digital Methodologies. Before I post or include the slide deck here, I’ll check with my group members to ensure that this is OK. I know they are aware that I am blogging about my PhD process, but I’m not sure they are aware that group tasks are part of what I’m hoping to share and include in my reflections. So, I’ll share a few screenshot images from this presentation, some of the information I contributed, and a few new connections to followup from this session.
One slide included names and social media connections for some of the researchers working with or writing about digital methodologies.

While not viewed during the presentation itself, we included this video on one of the slides since it shows one of the researchers, who is well known in this field, speaking about online methodologies.
This was an interesting presentation to work on and there were a variety of connections and collections I’ve made from doing this project.
