Building a Bibliography

Today I spent time working on research and organizing my bibliographies. I have expanded my search parameters to include teacher education, theories of practice in teacher education and teacher training institutes (TTI) with pre-service teachers. Knowing the research terminology and being able to apply termsĀ  consistently and accurately is an important detail when writing research. Being able to quickly find bibliography information and link to the source, either on my computer or in the library databases, will save time when writing. Being able to quickly locate reference materials will ensure that I’m citing and quoting sources accurately.

Today’s work – organizing and setting up files for teacher education, OER/OEM/OEP, and one additional file for all the research about research. I may have to extend to include more theories and epistemologies. I’m using a BIN technique that was shown to me by another researcher, which allows me to keep not only references and annotated bibliography information, but also key quotes an important information from an article. This is what I should have been doing all along, but now find critical, as I begin to write a paper for the course.
